Day 0 of 1001

Welcome to my day zero! Tomorrow I start day 1 of 1001.
For anyone who isn't aware of the concept, the "101 things to do in 1001 days project" is about setting yourself 101 challanges that you want to achieve in the next 1001 days.

I decided that I wanted to take part to try and get myself out of a rut. I love my life, but it is not very exciting and although none of my choices for my list are hugely life changing, they should liven it up a bit! I'm keeping this blog to remind myself of everything that I may (or may not) achieve.

The following is copied direct from the website-
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
